Shaun kroutz

Chief Executive Officer


Shaun has over 30 years of experience in the mining and manufacturing industries in South Africa. As General Manager, he was responsible for managing both underground (Zululand Anthracite Colliery) and open-cast mines (Optimum Colliery) for BHP Billiton. He also oversaw the sale of both mines from BHP Billiton. He was also responsible for the successful start-up and commissioning of Hillside Smelter ahead of time and under budget.

On safety, he was part of the initial BHP Billiton

global team that investigated and chose the DuPont way as the basis for BHP Billiton’s Zero Harm philosophy. He holds a BSc (Mech. Eng.).



AYANDA NTSHO

Chief Financial Officer


Ayanda is a chartered accountant with over 17 years of executive experience. His diverse experience spans such industries as defence, consulting, transport (aviation), pharmaceutical, academia and manufacturing (animal health products, electronics and precious metals). He is currently the Group Financial Director of a mining recovery company with responsibilities for the operations in South Africa, Ghana and South America.



SOLOMZI SONTSHAKA

Legal Counsel


Solomzi Sontshaka is an admitted attorney. He has managed investments and sat on various boards of Investee companies such Crontrans Marketing (Pty) Ltd, a transport and logistics company in the Free State, Edwill Properties (Pty) Ltd, a residential housing development company, ELCB (Pty) Ltd, an IT company based in East London, Petrotank South Africa, a manufacturer of underground fuel tanks for the petrochemical industry and Goldplat Recovery (Pty) Ltd, a gold and precious metals recovery company, WFDR, a short term insurance company based in Harare, Zimbabwe, to name but a few. He holds an BA (Law) from the University of Lesotho (NUL), LLB (University of Natal) and a Certificate in Competition Law (Wits).
